FINNERO, a pet supplies manufacturer from Seinäjoki, Finland, is the first company to receive funding from the new South Ostrobothnia Growth Fund.
FINNERO's entrepreneur and majority owner Tarja Keen and the other investors JJ Investori Oy and Y-Invest Oy are grateful and excited to have new investors support the company's internationalization and growth.
- This will speed up the company's already well-started export business. The regional growth fund diversifies companies' financing options and at the same time offers systematic support and flexibility for business management.
The funding will be used primarily for international expansion and the growth of export operations. The aim is to invest in new market research, international sales channels, and marketing campaigns, as well as to participate in foreign trade shows and exhibitions. The goal is to increase exports and establish FINNERO as a well-known brand globally.
There has been a lot of interest in the new fund and many applications has been received.
- This marks a great beginning for the long-awaited initiative. We are very pleased that such an opportunity has opened up for the companies of South Ostrobothnia to pursue growth," commented Tapio Seppä-Lassila, who prepared the fund on behalf of Into Seinäjoki.
The fund makes capital investments ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 euros in companies located in South Ostrobothnia, encompassing all business sectors. Before making an investment decision, the management company Redstone Nordics Oy conducts a thorough business analysis of the target company. Redstone has extensive experience in managing similar funds in Mikkeli and Joensuu.
- I believe that 15-20 first investments can be made in South Ostrobothnia within a few years, and additional investments in, for example, five companies, estimates Redstone Nordics CEO Kaj Hagros.
The largest financiers of the South Ostrobothnia Growth Fund are the City of Seinäjoki, the Kuortane Savings Bank Foundation, and the Töysä Savings Bank Foundation. Other investors include LähiTapiola Etelä-Pohjanmaa, Etelä-Pohjanmaan Osuuspankki, Etelä-Pohjanmaan Osuuskauppa, Lakeuden Etappi, Redstone Nordics, and the South Ostrobothnia Entrepreneurs Association.
